Ford Scholarship Program for Inspiring Automotive Technicians

Across four U.S regions (Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, and Phoenix), Ford Motor Company Fund and Ford dealers are joining forces to provide $1 million in scholarship funding to help students wanting to take on a career as an automotive technician.

There has been some shortage of technicians in the auto industry because of less students graduating from post secondary programs. So this program will not only help students but the shortage of technicians as well!

This scholarship will be open to both current and future students enrolled in post-secondary tanning programs or auto/diesel technician training programs in Atlanta, Chicago, Dallas, and Phoenix). Once applied to a students account this need-based scholarship can be used for tuition, tools, living expenses, and transportation.

TechForce Foundation (a partner of Ford and a national nonprofit supporting students through their education and professional careers) will be the ones administering the scholarships.

Program will prepare, empower, and grow the future workforce through:

• A focus on STEM-based curriculum in combination with hands-on learning
• Reaching students early and reinforcing the opportunities
• Collaboration with dealers through their involvement
