Ford Maverick Wins 2023 Cars.com Best Value Award
Cars.com has awarded the 2023 Ford Maverick XL with the 2023 Best Value for New Small Pickup Trucks award!
To identify the new vehicles that offer the best value for the money, Cars.com editors considered all models that fall under their respective segments’ median price among Cars.com dealers; luxury brands were excluded from the data in the interest of affordability. In order to be a finalist, a vehicle must offer an automatic transmission and gas-powered models must take regular fuel. All-electric vehicles had an additional requirement of a minimum range.
All finalists must also offer the following set of features as standard or available: Android Auto and Apple CarPlay, blind spot monitoring, forward collision warning with automatic emergency braking and pedestrian detection and lane departure warning. Among qualifying vehicles that met the initial pricing and features criteria, the final list was narrowed down to those with the most affordable median prices.
Here’s what Cars.com editors had to say about the Maverick:
“The Ford Maverick compact pickup truck may be one of the hottest commodities on the market even as it enters its second model year. For 2023, Ford gives the Maverick an off-road Tremor Off-Road Package all its own, an upgrade over the off-road-adjacent FX4 Off-Road Package. Previously appearing on the F-150, F-Series Super Duty and Ranger, the Tremor package improves each truck’s off-roading capabilities without going to the extremes of a Raptor in terms of capabilities or appearance.”
