2020 Ford Ranger Offers Breadcrumb Trail for Off-Roading

The 2020 Ford Ranger continues to increase it’s off-road capabilities with the addition of a new navigation setting that creates a virtual breadcrumb trail to help drivers find their way back to civilization after an off-roading adventure. Drivers can enable this feature through the SYNC ® 3 navigation settings which can also be found on XLT and Lariat series trucks. Once enabled, the program will work in the background using satellite technology to mark the location of the vehicle every second once the driver is no longer on the road.

Ford and McDonald's Collaborate to Convert Coffee Bean Skin Into Car Parts

Ford Motor Company and McDonald’s USA will soon be giving vehicles a caffeine boost by using part of a familiar staple in the morning routine, coffee beans, in vehicle parts such as headlamp housing.
 
Every year, millions of pounds of coffee chaff – the dried skin of the bean – naturally comes off during the roasting process. Together, Ford and McDonald’s can provide an innovative new home to a significant portion of that material. The companies found that chaff can be converted into a durable material to reinforce certain vehicle parts.

Reserve Mustang Mach-E Online Starting Sunday, November 17

Ford’s all-new, all-electric SUV will don the iconic pony badge and the name Mustang Mach-E when reservations for the vehicle open after it is revealed this Sunday.
 
The all-electric Mustang Mach-E will make its debut Nov. 17 at an event in Los Angeles that will be streamed on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter and Autohome (China). Special guest, actor Idris Elba, will help introduce the latest addition to the Mustang family. Immediately following the broadcast – which ends at approximately 6:30 p.m. PST (9:30 p.m. EST) – reservations will open for the Mustang Mach-E at Ford.com.

Ford Enlists Working Moms to Help Redesign Lactation Lounges

Moms heading back to the outside workforce after the birth of a child face lots of challenges. Ford is working to minimize one of them with help from the mothers themselves.
 
The company has begun upgrading to state-of-the-art lactation lounges for moms returning to the workplace across its U.S. campuses. Over the next three years, Ford will launch about 75 redesigned mother’s rooms plus 25 dual purpose mother’s/wellness rooms by 2023. Ford Advances the Children's Science Program with STEAM Machine Unveiling

Ford knows a thing or two about building dream machines. As part of the Ford STEAM initiative, the automaker is revealing its first-ever STEAM Machine – a Transit XL decked out as a mobile science lab on wheels. Headlining National STEAM Day, the STEAM Machine will be unveiled at Henry Ford Museum of American Innovation at 9:30 a.m. this Friday, with activities continuing throughout the weekend.
