The Blind Spot Information System (BLIS) a part of Ford's Co-Pilot 360 Technology, an advanced suite of driver-assistive technologies. BLIS uses radars on either side of the vehicle to detect other vehicles in the blind spot.
When the system detects a vehicle in your blind spot, a warning light on that side view mirror will illuminate to let you know there is a car there. If you activate your turn signal while the system detects a car in your blind spot, the warning light will flash to enforce the fact that it is not safe to switch lanes.
The Co-Pilot 360 driver-assistive technologies also include:
  • Pre-Collision Assist
  • Emergency Auto Braking
  • Lane Keeping Assist
  • Adaptive Cruise Control
  • Rear View Camera
