Ford Joins Kode With Klossy, Igniting Movement to Educate Young Women in Computer Science & Coding

With the U.S. Bureau of Statistics projecting jobs in science, technology, engineering and math fields will grow to more than 9 million by 2022, Ford is joining with Kode With Klossy to expand offerings of its free, two-week summer coding camps for girls. Along with www.fordsteamexperience.com, now in its second year, the collaboration is one of several initiatives Ford is offering to create awareness for its STEAM programs.

Ford Adding Electrified F-150, Mustang and Transit By 2020 in Major EV Push with Expanded US Plant

Ford today detailed seven of the 13 new global electrified vehicles it plans to introduce in the next five years, including hybrid versions of the iconic F-150 pickup and Mustang in the U.S., a plug-in hybrid Transit Custom van in Europe and a fully electric SUV with an expected range of at least 300 miles for customers globally.

Sneak Peak at Ford's Float for America’s Thanksgiving Parade

Ford Motor Company will be the driving force behind America’s Thanksgiving Parade® with an exciting new float called Mobility One and more than 40 F-Series trucks, Mustangs and Explorers leading the festivities through downtown Detroit.
 

Ford, which is investing $20 million in local educational and community programs this year, is also extending its support for the region with a new three-year sponsorship commitment with The Parade Company – producer of both the Thanksgiving Day parade and the annual Ford Fireworks. Ford Mustang Runs Wild Across Europe

It may not be the first country that first comes to mind for sports cars, but drivers in Belgium have fallen head over heels for the new Ford Mustang.

Of more than 21,000 new Mustangs that Ford has now sold across Europe, 1,600 went to Belgian enthusiasts. That’s one for every 4,693 of the country’s 7,659,000 drivers – a far higher proportion than anywhere else in Europe.

$70,000 Ford Disaster Relief Mobility Challenge

September is National Disaster Preparedness Month, and Ford has announced the Ford Disaster Relief Mobility Challenge. Ford Motor Company will be awarding three grants of up to $70,000 each to U.S. non-profit companies to be used towards the purchase and upfitting of a Ford Transit that would serve as a disaster response vehicle.

Ford Aims to Reduce Traffic Congestion Issues with New Transportation Initiative

Ford is teaming up with major cities - starting with San Francisco - to reduce traffic congestion by growing shuttle service and collaborating with bike-sharing provider Motivate to expand its transportation solutions in city centers. The company has announced an agreement to acquire Chariot, a San Francisco-based crowd-sourced shuttle service, and is also establishing a new City Solutions team to work with cities around the world on their transportation needs.

Gamers Set Guinness World Record Driving Ford GT in a Video Game for Over 48 Straight Hours

Five determined gamers each raced a Ford GT in the video game Forza Motorsport 6 for 48 hours 29 minutes and 21 seconds to set a new Guinness World Records title for “Longest video marathon on a racing game.”
